In spite of his valiant year and a half struggle against pancreatic cancer, Harry Moore passed away peacefully in his Wexford home on May 5, 2013. Harry was born and raised in Dallas TX and graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in Economics in 1959. Over the years, he worked for many corporations and himself. He was always known for his innovative ideas in financial analysis and deal making. He was especially proud of his creation of a new lease vehicle, known as the "Vendor Financed Tax Leveraged Lease", which helped sell over a hundred million dollars of mainframe computers. He retired from Massachusetts to Wexford Plantation to play golf in 1994. He especially loved golfing every day with the men's group, where he tried to continue the old Wexford tradition that "every day is men's day." He said that his bucket list was empty, which helped his family feel better. He is survived by his loving wife, Terry, three children, Mike (Tracey) Moore, Heather (Alex) Arteaga, and Holly (Rick) Sippel, and eleven grandchildren. A private family memorial service is planned for early June. The Island Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
