Errol "ET" Thomas Morrison Errol "ET" Thomas Morrison, 72, of Hilton Head, SC passed away unexpectedly at his home Wednesday, June 12, 2013. He was born May 31, 1941 in Louisville, KY to Holland and Alma Morrison. Errol was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend, and mentor - although gone, will be forever remembered. He is survived by the Love of his Life for 53 years, Connie Wimsatt Morrison. His three daughters: Lorraine (Ted) Morris, Kelly (Jim) Thompson both of Hilton Head, SC and Victoria (Doug) Ball of Louisville, KY and his son Andrew Morrison of Salem, MA; and his sister, Karlen Morrison of Louisville, KY. Grandchildren: Joshua Thompson, Megan Thompson, Chad Ball, Rachel Ball, Michael Ball, Victoria Morris and Jacqueline Morris. ET graduated in 1965 from The University of Louisville with a B.S. in Business Management as well as their #1 Cardinal's fan! His career began with SPERRY-UNIVAC which later became Unisys Corporation. He retired after 34 years as their Senior IT Project Manager Officer (PMO). ET's retirement was not an end to work, but a transition to other projects. He spent five years with Covance Labs in Indianapolis, IN and most recently with the Morrison Group, Inc. as a Senior Consultant/Senior IT PMO. Even with a full and diverse career, ET was generous with both his time and his talent - but his kind and giving heart is what drew most to him. His philanthropic endeavors to the many wonderful organizations and causes close to his heart included: St. Francis by the Sea Pastoral Council and their Choir Group, The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Low Country, and was notoriously known as the "IT Guru" of the neighborhood. The gifts he left behind will not be engraved on stone monuments, but will be forever woven into the lives of the ones he loved and touched. Friends and family are invited to Mass at St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church on Monday June 17th at 1:00pm. Thereafter, please join in a celebration of life at the Family Center at St. Francis. The family requests memorial contributions be sent to either St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church, the Hilton Head Humane Society, or the Boys & Girls Club of the Low Country. The Island Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. www.theislandfuneralhome.com.
